Our desire is to help children grow up safe despite the violence and abuse which currently threatens so many young Americans unable to protect themselves.
About IPPA
Our goal is for children to be believed by the courts when they reveal the truth of abuse at home and for courts to respond by acting in the true best interests of children. This emphasizes prioritizing child safety over parental rights. For a variety of reasons, court officials generally lack appropriate expert testimony and the experience vital to identifying abuse, including physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, financial and coercive control. This has a devastating impact on children and causes serious and lasting harm, and sometimes death, to them when they are forced by the legal system to maintain contact with a perpetrator. We believe that when we work together as a united force for change, change is inevitable. We want that change to bring vulnerable children safety in their homes so they can develop and thrive to their maximum potential in a loving, healthy environment. We invite you to join us as we create awareness of the seriousness of this issue, provide relevant education to help inform, and connect with other professionals dedicated to our shared goal so that our collective voices will be heard together as we work to effect the changes that abused children in our communities need and deserve.
